This drawing shows the possible spacial capabilities of my building module, in relation to the Montessori Model. The undulating floor surface allows for different spaces to be created within the same room that could allow for an individual student to learn on his/her own, a group of students to learn, or a for a teacher to engage a student in a one on one session.

The first diagram shows a basic spacial arrangement of the Kindergarten program, where each space is broken into its own bubble relative to its square footage. The second diagram shows this same kindergarten program applied to a Montessori school model in which the music and art space are a shared part of each classroom.

The Environment of the Montessori school system us open for students to explore different subjects by exploring different spaces of the classroom. This system encourages multiple types of learning as students learn from their teacher, from other students, and from themselves through individual study of a subject.

This model shows a field of my modules arranged into a classroom cluster following the model of Herman Hertzberger's Montessori School. It uses a combination of the two connection systems to create two different spaces.

This model shows how a possible 2nd structure could be incorporated into my original module to create a more three dimensional volumetric.

In this model I took my module and arrayed it in a field with a slight scale change. A secondary system of spanning members creates a webbing in between each module.
