Aperture Change


These two models demonstrate the ability of the building tectonic to change in porosity based on the changing aperture of the original module.

This model demonstrates spatial and surface relations that will be incorporated into my overall design.

Classroom Program


This drawing shows the possible spacial capabilities of my building module, in relation to the Montessori Model. The undulating floor surface allows for different spaces to be created within the same room that could allow for an individual student to learn on his/her own, a group of students to learn, or a for a teacher to engage a student in a one on one session.

Program Blocking



The first diagram shows a basic spacial arrangement of the Kindergarten program, where each space is broken into its own bubble relative to its square footage. The second diagram shows this same kindergarten program applied to a Montessori school model in which the music and art space are a shared part of each classroom.
